If it’s a discriminatory factor.
Meaning it lets you identify the person from a group when the other party you are talking to isn’t familiar with all the people.
Or when “Sean” doesn’t give enough context.
The white guy.
The tall woman.
The Indian guy.
The huge Chinese kid.
