Reese is blind in her right eye. She developed very high eye pressure so the vet put her on three eye drops, twice per day. That got the pressure and her pain down to normal. Now se is on a maintenance of two rather expensive drops in the morning and the same two in the evening. Her other eye seems to work OK. She is pretty much deaf. We have to clap our hands hard to get her attention. Her eye looks normal now, but the vet said the damage to the retina is permanent. When she is walking over to the hall to go go to the utility room where the doggy door is she walks to the wall and stays along the wall as a guide. She has no issues outside, and finding her way back inside.
She still like to play with Reuben, and this morning as I got out of bed, she came running over to me to get scratches. Reuben rolls over and like belly rubs. She ran around in happy mood. Reuben is normally a very happy boy. If I say anything to him his tail wags. He spins in circles as I exit the kitchen after making my coffee and heading to the laundry room where we keep the dog food, and he is always 100% ready to eat.
