He's always been a bit of an old man at heart. He worries about things that a kid his age wouldn't normally worry about, and thinks about things that you wouldn't expect a little boy to think about (and always has). THis year between Christmas and his birthday (just turned 10 a couple of months ago), and used some of the money that he got as gifts to buy a small safe. A real safe with electronic keypad.

I asked him why he wanted a safe, and it was something to the effect of he just wanted to be able to safely store some of his "important things".

His younger brother is NOTHING like him. It's hilarious and fascinating to watch them grow up.

Another of his things, he's always liked rocks, and we've bought him various rocks from rock and mineral shops. And when he's at our place, he'll setup and open a "rock store". We then go pick out items to "buy" and he gives us prices, etc...
