Timely - alternate take here. Following a steep climb that got me a bit out of breath I just caved and got an iWatch 11. Because everyone says it's the best medically. 1
Battery lasts about 30 hours. It is very impressive in terms of heart and sleep monitoring, no question. Now after 10 days or so I confirmed all is well with heart and sleep (I'm just old and it was a really steep hill that got me wondering) and I'm already kinda over it...
The damn thing is a constant source of vibrations from its own apps or its monitoring, and notifications relayed from the phone - and yeah I know you can turn some off but sometimes it's not all in the same spot, and some apps refuse to acknowledge the no-notification for me (Ring cameras comes to mind). I am sure there are fixes, reboots, resyncs, but I did not want another computer to troubleshoot - all in all it's a pain in the butt.
If I were to do it again, for the $ I'd keep my analog watches and get a dedicated sports band of some kind that STFUs and downloads once a week.
Too much tech for me. I already get pinged and buzzed enough by my phone and PC. "Oh I see you are doing a workout, want me to record?" Oh F-off... Could be you want that, or not. Know what you are getting into.
