First, y'all should stop feeling guilty about retaining a lawyer. The entire point of insurance is to make Mrs. Lee whole. Not just her car, but more importantly, her health. Unfortunately that something the insurance company will likely try to avoid.
I'd encourage her to talk to several law firms. See what they say, and then pick one she's comfortable with.
