I ran Pilot in two of my cars for years. Great tires, then I became a cheap skate and decided to try Toyo summer performance tires due to a friend's discount and connection with Toyo. I am so happy with the Toyos that I decided to install them on all my cars. Took them to the track and they performed flawlessly compared to the Michelins. Maybe, just maybe they fall short by some very, very percentage at 10/10, not that I can really tell but other's on the track with their street tires seems to think so. So at the end of the day, just you you mentioned, Steve, Cannon or Nikon, or Milwaukee or DeWalt. For aggressive street or hard canyon carving, I can't tell the difference Yet, my bank account is a couple bucks fuller.

I did run Toyos on my old miata. I tried several other tires, and always went back to the Toyos. According to Tire Rack, Toyo doesn't make anything in the sizes that I need for the Boxster.
