Important additional thought:
To be clear, much of what I have said above can be dependent on to how high or low functioning the individual is. There many people who are high functioning and high masking. The average neuro-typical wouldn't spot it but professional help (if nothing else) will help them to understand why they feel different and what they can do to function and enjoy life.
