This went on for about 8-9 miles. We stopped at a light and lost a bit of firepower. Some of the slower riders were pissed and mouthy about it at the light. I was near the front the entire time and did not want to miss the break if it happens. Took my turn pulling and cranked out as much as I could for a little over a miles without blowing myself up and getting drop. I have no idea how fast I was going but I sure was trying like hell to split the mouthy few. Another guy came up to me as I slotted backed into the group near the front 7-8 places to get some much needed relief. One of the guys pointed at my stem and complain that I have no computer and that I need to get one to better pace ourselves. The complain was that I was going too fast. I was in the same gear when we were going 30. my thinking was, I don't need no stinking computer. Do my turn up front until I can't anymore. At about 35-40 mile mark, the hilly section, I was spat out the back. Rode the last 10 miles with a couple of guys that were dropped. both my thighs were started to cramp. The coffee after made the suffering so much better. Going out with a smaller group and do it again tomorrow. I hope to recover by then. It is suppose to be a fun, recovery ride. No one goes over 20 but we will see. Someone always starts siht and crank the pace up. Too much fun
Tell em' don't worry, the rides are getting out of hand, and next week they will be starting A B C groups.
"A" stands for agony.
"B" group will be riders B*****ing about the pace.
"C" group stands for Crying, like little babies.
Something for everyone.
