Back in 1994 when I was looking for my 911, I looked at a lot of 911s advertised as great shape. Almost all of them were 100% project cars that needed everything. I just shook my head and left.
When I finally found my car in Tulsa, my wife swears I was drooling. It was perfect with just 80,000 miles and serviced at a local well know repair shop. I whipped out my checkbook and drove it home in 1995. I had money making good income in accounts I did not to empty, so I got a loan at my credit union for less interest than my investments. My loan officer said I got it for loan value. It was paid off in a year. That was my last car payment. It is the best toy ever. I drive the heck out of it, and it is worth 5 times what I paid for it.
