My vacuum pump is a mid range pump. It takes a while to get to the micron double digits, but does eventually with fresh oil in the pump. I am a believer in the nitrogen purges. I just know my AC kick the heat out.
That is frost on the outside of the return line back into the compressor. So it is cold gas keeping the compressor cool, like the driver.
