I used to tend bar, and so most of my income was in quarters and dollars. I did the same with quarters. We didn't wait until the jug was full, but did end up with $200-300 worth of quarters. I've got a glass jar that may be a quart on my desk that's full of change. I need to empty it. I'm not expecting it to be worth much, maybe $20-30, or absolute max $50.
There are still a lot of folks that do carry cash. I also don't. I have some at home, but don't carry it.
