I have been in photography, all my life. Nothing but photography has been my living since I was 14 and I shot my first wedding. During the Vietnam war, the men were allowed a TDY break, but they were not allowed to go to the mainland. The had to go to Hawaii, or Japan or some island where they could not just vanish. One Airman had his girlfriend meet him in Hawaii, and they spent the month at Ft. DeRussy. They decided to get married. A buddy was supposed to shoot the wedding, but he had to be the best man and witness to make the marriage legal. He handed me the camera, I shot a roll of film of her in a bikini, and him in just a bathing suit, on the beach. The Ft. is on Waikiki Beach. I handed her the roll of film to get processed at home as he had to ship back in a couple of days.

Anyway, right after high school, I started shooting 16mm movies of football games, from hike to whistle for the coaches to review the plays. I made more money doing that than my regular job, or the wedding photography. In 1974 I walked into the Porsche dealership and they all ignored another kid looking at Porsches. I went and sat down at the desk of the oldest guy in the place, and stared at him. He finally asked, what can I do for you? I said I am here order a Porsche. All the other salesmen perked up. I said I want a 2.0 liter, Olympia Blue, Appearance package, front and rear sway bars, and the rest. It took them 6 months to make my car. I picked it up on September 13th 1974.
Now we only shoot pictures of the ground, and the computer actually runs the camera.
