For those that think it is "gamey" etc
There is a big difference between shooting a deer and having it butchered and on ice with 2-3 hours vs shooting a deer and throwing it in your truck and then hitting every bar in the area to have a beer or two while you show off your monster buck, eventually ending up too drunk to butcher it until the next day
I am fortunate in that my "hunting" is from a buddys living room couch, when we shoot a deer it is butchrred and on ice in about 2 hours from the trigger pull. Seeing as how our muzzle loader season starts in October and we are more likely to be smakicking mosquitos than complaining about cold toes and fingers
