I was born/raised in Endicott NY . We had a meat delicacy called a spiedie . You take the meat of your choice and cut up into chunks or cubes . Then marinate for a few days in spiedie sauce or Italian salad dressing . You then slide the meat onto skewers and cook on the grill .

No such thing as a bad spiedie . Chicken/beef/pork/venison . When venison is marinated in the fridge for 3-4 days it is tender with a great taste . The proper way to eat is take a slice of fresh Italian bread , put some butter on it and slide the spiedies off the skewer into the bread . Add a frosty cold one and it is an experience .
