As kids when we lived in Hawaii, my brother and I loved Li hing mui.

I had not had one in decades, but when we visited Hawaii last time, I made a point to buy a couple of bags of them at a local grocery store.
For some reason the local stores don't carry them.
Shortly after we returned home I was mowing the yard on a really hot 100+ degree day, and just soaked in sweat, while sucking on one. It was about down to just the pit and I started wondering what the ambulance drivers would think of an old white man with a peach pit in his mouth if I had passed out.
I have never been close to passing out in hot weather, so it was just a mental image.
I looked into ordering some on line, but it required buying a year's supply. I just went cold turkey, and gave them up.
