I used to love going in there. Was really anti-climatic when the winds allowed you to land west. The approach from the south, first on instruments to a localizer on a mountainside, then breaking out and sighting a big checkerboard on a different mountain, then waiting until the last moment to make a 90 degree turn to the right, descending over the rooftops of HongKong, avoiding the masts of the Chinese junks on short final, and usually landing with a horrendous crosswind.
Yeah, I actually miss it.
