This happened today to my house dead-bolt keyed lock.
Lately it had been very difficult getting the key in and then turning it was worse yet.
I didn't have any graphite on hand, so I ordered from Amazon some 'Houdini 4-Way Lock Lubricant'.
One short spray into the lock and the key slides in and turns like a hot knife thru butter.
Amazing stuff.
