I couldn’t guess where it will end, at some point they could politely ask you not to shop there anymore-
The “new normal” sucks, but I agree with 911boost. It doesn’t need to be a battle of wills.
It’s a frustrating situation due to how many idiots walk out with merchandise without paying. It ends up costing us all more money to cover losses.
Costco has been checking receipts for years at the door, it really only takes about 5 seconds.
Certainly your choice to continue to shop there or not.
