Showing the receipt time after time isn't a big deal. I pretty much stopped going to Home Depot or any of the big box home centers in the past 10 years. Order it from my local lumber yard of have my guys pick up some of the stuff and my blood pressure stays normal.
My complain is, when I went back then, why is the person checking the receipt must see it yet they never check the actual items against the receipt? Thief my azz

Some items are bit heavy, bulky, and couple of 10' copper pipe on me makes the Beijing acrobatic looks like child's play so I let it all go on the floor get the receipt our of my pocket just to have them look at it for a split second only to try like hell to grab it all into, under my arms again yet the fooker just saw me paid for it. It was right in front of them. Its pretty simple, use better judgement. Sure they are doing their job, but be reasonable.
