In the big race scene, the one where "Bob Falfa" (Ford) crashed the black Chevy, it was Cindy Williams in the chevy with Ford. She Played "Laurie", the girlfriend of "Steve Bolander" (Ron Hopward). They'd had a fight and she somehow ended up in the passenger seat of the Chevy...
Milt, maybe you should see the movie again? Yep, Phillips rode with the Millner Character in the deuce. He was able to get her to confess where she lived so he could get her home before the big race was agreed to. Millner had no passenger in the race...he urged Laurie to get out of the Chevy before the race. She, being angry at Steve, told Millner to mind his own business...
