Hmmm.
We were smart enough to invent this technology. These alternatives
do see some use. . . .
What you are missing is; these alternatives (currently) cost more money. (and I don't just mean investment money) When the cost/benifit changes,
then we will be oh-so-smart, for having "demanded" them.
