Was just the outside (ablation) pane. The middle pane is the heated portion. The thick laminate on the inside is the pressure one. Made a big pop, but didn't lose anything but a layer. Sometime the thermal shock of losing the outer pane makes the heated layer shatter, but it usually stays with the airplane.
It WILL get your attention.
In 31 years and 23000+/- hours airbourne, it has happened 3 times.
