I have a steel flat bed I am prepping to go on my dually . I have a steel toolbox/fuel tank combo I mounted and held it back 6 " from the front edge . I want to build a mini headache rack to enclose the front . This will create a small storage space between it and the toolbox/tank unit .
So to make this I need 3 pieces of sheet steel . I have decided to go with 12 gauge thickness . I need one piece 24 x 72 3/4 and two pieces 24 x 18 . Local fab shops want 400 bucks !!! What ??? Man am I out of touch
. Found a guy on FB Marketplace that will sell me the cut sizes for $130.00 total . That's more like it . I now see why custom flatbeds are so expensive .
