Haha, so much for that. I was asked to take a look at my mother-in-law's car, wouldn't start and she said it was leaking something. So, off I go with some jumper cables and a flashlight. She just had a transmission installed in her car a couple of weeks ago, had not driven the car since last Tuesday. I got to the car and she already had the hood up so that was nice. I looked under the car and sure enough, there was a wet spot on the pavement which turned out to be transmission fluid, and I found the source of the leak to be the upper transmission cooling line. I also checked the lower cooling line and it also had some fresh red transmission fluid on the underside of it as well, not sure if it leaking there or if fluid had run down from the top line and this was just residual fluid. Anyhoo, the car will go back to the shop that installed the transmission and they will fix it next week. I jumped the car off and let it run a while, shut it off and started it right up so, she may need a new battery. The battery is from Napa and it has August and 6 punched out but not sure what that means exactly, 2016? 2026? Anyhoo, it is hot out there and now I need a nap, lol.
