When people say (write) about how society ought to "use less" and have "fewer users" (pop-cntl) . . .What I hear (read) is;
"I wish more resorces were mine . . ..gimme gimme gimme"
The unappretiated reallity is, the number of problems being solved (think health & standard of living) is proportional to the number of people available to solve these problems.
Some people see population as competition, other see population as resorce. . . .some see a bit of both.
