Nice video. I'm a big fan of breathing new life into older frames with newer components. 1x9 looks OK for flat terrain. I live where there are hills and would have done a 2x9 drivetrain; a smaller inner chain ring probably clears that frame and can run a narrower bottom bracket and have reasonable Q-factor. Making it comfy is also a big plus. You're not going to ride if you're not comfortable.
