I don't know too much cyclecross tech but surprise they still race on tubulars or sewups. Wouldn't a beaded cross tire on such rim be more secure?

In the racing days, tub was king due to few advantages, high PSI, low rolling resistance and most important, lightness and comfort was a side benefit. I trained on tubs for few years on the street then finally gave in after looking at a bunch of tires that needed patching. Threw them in the trash and never looked back. We gave our left nuts for a pair of Criturium Setas 23mm for race days. Never got around to the double sided tape that was after my time with sweups. Still have a few sewup wheels hanging up in my garage. I am thinking tossing those but one pair that I raced on and that goes to the Casati on sunny days out riding with the old guys
