After a relatively slow start to summer, the heat has been terrible here for about six weeks and absolutely brutal the past two and counting. Yesterday's official high in the DFW area was 109, which was a new record, and all this week is predicted to be more of the same.
The truly amazing thing is the nighttime temperatures - I'm talking 90+ at 3:00AM, which I experience first hand as I work partial nights in an unairconditioned aircraft hangar. It is mindblowing to be roasting ass and pouring sweat, even if standing still, at that late hour.
