I am reading a pretty great noir style book currently. Released the same year as I, 1966. It is gritty. It features characters and settings that are completely authentic. The prose is flawed. The summation is perfect.

AI would polish out the rough spots and rough up the polished spots so that it wasn't as good. My daughter is an aspiring writer. She really hates AI. Because she thinks it will render her useless. I think WD15 hits the nail on the head. Countrypop? AI has that covered. Crappy fiction. Yep. Soul fulfilling, and unsettling art? It has a while to go to figure that out.
