The quality of the worst 96 is better than most 103s...
I bore German OEM cylinders to 96mm, and then use either custom JE pistons are KBs...
Using 103s is made more complicated by the TIV not having a square bore spacing, cylinder head design, the head casting and etc....
In my opinion 103s just suck, and the TIV head without extensive modification cannot "cycle the chamber" enough for the 4" bore... The answer is NOT bigger valves either.
