I have read the information on your web page, so that I know now that you do recommend using KB pistons.
You have to consider that in Germany the market is more for Bugs and the rest of the VW aircooled family. That means that only few people have experience in what can be done to a TIV engine whilst keeping the original fan shroud. Your web page is very interesting for me particularly in that respect.
As I want an engine for a 914 and keep the fan shroud, I am looking for alternatives on the US market. More concretely, I am considering ordering a crank, some rods and pistons to build a 2270 or 2316 engine.
I wonder whether aircooledtechnology or airecooled.net is the place to order. Any suggestions?
