BMW CCA races at Phoenix (with GAC)

Hi All -

Sorry for taking so long (went on a cruise the day after the Phoenix races).

It was a great event! Having club races partnered up with pro racing events really works as far as I'm concerned. Even if we did have to paddock outside the oval, it was still just a great overall experience and I'm glad BMW CCA Club Racing has been able to work out having events with Grand American Racing.

We had a pretty good weekend. A couple of little technical issues, but we were able learn more about campaigning a car and pick up a couple of class wins (H Stock) on top of it. Since we didn't have any other cars in class to deal with, it was a good, low pressure opportunity to get Geoff in the car, let Geoff learn the track, experiment with the Yokohama S compound tires do some more checking out of the car, and get out of there with the car pretty much in one piece (PIR has been tough on Club Racers) - and I think we were able to do all those things.

All things considered, Geoff did a great job, and his battle with an A-mod and a D-mod in the Saturday race was the best on the track.
