steve, the band was a pre-set home depot affair. it comes all glued to a mesh backing and you just set it into the thinset that has been applied to the wall (thinset is the material that holds the tile to wall). you have to kinda move the little tile around to get them exact, but its still way easier than setting all that small stuff.

thanks for the encourgment, that will help me get through another weekend in front of the tile saw. finish the shower walls and floor this weekend. as soon as i get the john and sink reset for guest to use i will step back for a couple weeks. then it's some QT with the car.

i will post some of the floor and sink upon completion. by the way, no low flow toilet here! i have saved the old one and will get it refinished so i got a whole 5 gallons to take my prettys away. how much water is saved if you must flush 2X?
