Blew my fuel pump fuse!

When I had started up my car yesterday the voltmeter was pointing to the far right and when I revved the engine the needle would go further to the right. I started driving and after about 5 minutes I blew my fuel pump fuse I replaced that but it blew again, tried about 3 times. The fuse goes after about a second or two of the fuel pump runnning when I turn the ignition key. The car is a 73 and I had done to fuel pump relocation a few months back and havent had any trouble with it until now. I have the car parked in a bad place any help from anyone so I could get this car moving would be appreciated, thanks. One more thing, I dont hear the fuel injectors clicking anymore when I press the throttle down, anyone know how much trouble I'm in? The ground strap from the transmission and for the injectors are connected.
