Hmm, so you're saying it might make sense to utilize the existing equipment, rather than tear out what's there and put in new stuff to do the same thing.....intriguing.....

I'm an idiot. I guess the only thing you'd need to do is disconnect the final circuit in the keyed ignition and run that to the button.
