The current Passat (B5.5) is built on the same platform as the Audi A4. The Passat has much more leg room than the Audi. The B6 Passat (due next year) will be built on the same platform as the VW A5 chassis cars so I am not sure what the leg room will be.
Love my A4 Jetta TDI but rear leg room does suck. Want a Passat TDI but don't want a car payment either.
