I really think it is time to move on beyond being appalled.
I understand the shock, and at first glance it would seem that those US soilders where just goofing off, snapping seemingly random shots. But, maybe it's time to be a bit objective, and search for understanding.
The thing that I can't get over is, these shots seem rather well thought out. . .staged,
if the objective were to have a 10+ fold (horror)impact on the middle east culture, over the US culture.
I mean, even US puplic access TV has shown sicker
sheet than those pict's . . .and those (puplic access) guys where paying for the abuse. Contrast to the middle east culture, where women are to be the ones on the end of a leash, unedujukated . . .in a burka. (do they have leather spiked burkas?)
