HUGE problem. There are now strains of enteric bacteria that are resistant to all known antibiotic combinations. They occaisionally cause outbreaks in nursing homes. The best they can do is isolate the patient until they are disease free or dead.
Demanding patients and compliant doctors are the problem. "My doctor stinks. I've had this cold for a week and he won't give me any antibiotics!"
