I don't recall anything sudden about it. He was saying the same thing before resigning, after, and still to this day.
Just another minor fact you seem to feel the need to place your own personal spin to. Once again, no source is credible enough for you, yet you decline to back up your own statements with "credible" fact. It would seem that you enjoy the argument for the sake of the last word, regardless of it's worth. It's a pattern in all of these threads. Read them again.
