That seems very close to what i got in my '84 when i did it a few months ago (mine might have been 180psi but not much more) - and i was very pleased with it, but can't offer any more 'technical' info than that!
Is your car running well? If so, i'd be happy with 170's all round. I think the Haynes manual says something about 150psi being fine. Do a search on compression and psi and see what other people got.
