sherwood thanks for the link. i didn't read far enough to see the download samples the first time i skimmed the site. i'm not sure i trust the images. i could have been manipulated to being uploaded. the motocylce one has a siginificant amount of noise, artifacts, pixelization.
osidak - thanks i will send larger files from a better scan. it was just a quickie job to send pics to a friend.
really on the fence on this issue - very tempting. maybe i should continue to learn to use my fe2.
