What I heard on a mainstream U.S. news broadcast, (can't remember which, sorry), was that Berg had been detained for quite some time by our side because Z. Mussaui had infiltrated his email account while he was a college student. Eventually, they apparently decided that there was nothing to it/big coincidence/etc.., and cut him loose. In Iraq. There are some un-answered questions about the guy, that's for sure. I don't claim to know any of the answers, but he sure wasn't your typical Halliburton sub-contractor on a financial mercenary mission.
