I am always amazed at the amount of money some of those guys at the creek have invested not only intheir weapons but in their ammo. No wonder surplus .308 don't stay on the market very long with these guys around. I can't even imagine trying to feed one of those M2s. Whats that around a buck a piece these days.........
I am convinced that the only way to get into that game is with an FFL. The price differential between a dealer sample and a "registered" gun is incredible. I have an itch to build a 1919a4 (how can I pass up a $350 kit?) but I refuse to build it in semi so I guess I'll have to get a type 02 FFL sometime. Of course if I get one of those I really have my heart set on an MG42............I'm gonna need more ammo.
