Achilles was the Great Greek Warrior and his match on the TRojan side was Hector. He was dipped and only his heel was didn't get wet leaving him vunerable only there. Paris is the one who shot him from the walls in subsequent fighting. The war lasted 10 years, the movie could certain havew shown the passage of time...after all Orson Wells showed years pass in 30 seconds of film time.
I also think the character of Odyessus was short changed in the film as well.
I liked the Kirk Douglas version of the story of Odyessus...where he returned home only to find his old dog recognized him...and his bow where he terminates all the freeloaders in his home. That was a good movie...
