On Memorial day ( if you have a staff or pole )
The flag should be flown at half-mast until noon then raised to the peak for the rest of the day.
When ever flying the flag half-mast it should first be raised to the peak for an instant then lowered to half mast; Then before taking the flag down for the day it should be raised to the peak again.
