Just watched the race on TiVo.
I wouldn't be that hard on Montoya. Admittedly, he took out his teammate in front of a German crowd, kind of like knocking over the soup tureen at the in-laws' dinner. But everyone was understeering in the early laps, you could see that in the in-car shots of tight corners with the cars pushing, and Montoya just slid wide.
Whaddya think about Sato? Strong drive, was set up to pass Barrichello in a lap or two (Barrichello admitted it in the post-race interviews), then chucks it all away with a suicidal move on Barrichello - hmm, why? Do you think Sato/BAR knew his engine was about to go, and he was trying to take Barrichello out in order to give Button/BAR the #2 position?
I was also pleased at Webber's drive, from near-last to a points position. I'd really like to see him get to a decent team next year - still hoping for WilliamsBMW. Boy, is that team in disarray. At least McLarenMBZ has one overriding issue they have to fix - if they coudl stop their motors exploding, their season would instantly improve. WilliamsBMW just seem to be a stew of different problems.
