Current North American RWD 4 door sedans: Crown Vic, Merc Marauder, new Chrysler 300 & Magnum, Caddy CTS & Lincoln LS The Lincoln has pretty much the same suspension as the S type Jag, early cars were available with either a 6 or an 8 with a 5 speed option on the 6. The Caddy is based (roughly) on a big Opel & has pretty well sorted out suspension. It has a 6 in the base car with either a 5 speed auto or 6? speed manual. Or you can go whole hog and get the CTS V spec with the Corvette drivetrain. The Chryslers have available V8s and Mercedes designed suspensions. The Crown Vic & Marauder are live rear axle vehicles with a Watts linkage on the later cars. Can't think of any others at the moment. How often do you end up changing a transmission anyway??
