Remove spark plugs and squirt some oil in the cylinders, then rotate the engine by hand to verify it can rotate. While you're there, perform a compression test and record readings. Reinstall plugs. If everything is okay so far, try to start it. Carbs may be be gummed up from storage in which case the engine may not run well or at all. Check for adequate fuel pressure and spark too.
