Hopefully no one will be miffed for reviving this thread... Ron, first of all, thanks for the experience. There's nothing like a road trip adventure. That tent of yours is almost a classic by itself. I don't think you can even buy one of those "pointy-roofed" designs any more LOL. All they have now are dome tents.
I have a question as far as car prep. What's the reasoning behind taking off the wheel caps? From reading I gleamed something about not getting busted... does it enhance radar signature, or am I just way off on that one? To a layperson it may make the wheels look "uglier" and less desirable...
