Zeke, you could be 100% correct...hope you are. But still, not really an "investment"...factor in insurance, the cost of maintaining the car, every dime you put into the car. Soon, you find yourself "feeding the alligator". A term used often by mom & pop real estate investors...landlords with a few rentals. However, you can't have a ball driving a rental house! I personally believe early 911 prices will continue to rise...I just don't consider a car to be an "investment". Having a great toy that retains it's value is great...I mean, look at the prices in the classifieds for 3 year old 996's...then think of what they sold for new.
